This evening, I am posting information on Paton family history as sourced from a memorial stone at Old Cathcart Cemetery, Glasgow which reads:
James Paton, Weaver in Glasgow 1712.
Ground acquired instead of Lairs in College Churchyard taken for railway purposes May 10th 1877 when remains were removed here.
