This evening, I am posting information on MacQueen family history as sourced from a memorial stone at Cathcart Cemetery, Glasgow. This records the deaths of:
- William MacQueen, Farmer and Cattle Dealer, East Newton, Avondale 1861.
- Elizabeth Stewart, widow of Archibald Dougall, Philipshill, Busby. Died at Cathcart Aug 26th 1906 age 86 yrs.
- Son, William MacQueen, Timber Merchant, died at Winchcombe, Glos. on Sept 20th 1897 age 40 yrs.
- Jessie Young, wife of Andrew Stewart MacQueen M.R.C.V.S on Sept 5th 1928 age 68 yrs.
- Mary Hamilton McQueen, died at Market Drayton on May 6th 1936.
- Andrew Stewart MacQueen MRCVS, died at Glasgow July 17th 1938.

Thank you so much for posting this. I had no idea it existed and this solves one or two old queries I have about the family and when we are able to visit Scotland we now know what to look after. William Macqueen (d. 1861) is my husband's great grandfather. William, Andrew and Mary were 3 of his 6 children - the others being Archie, James, and John (my husband's grandfather).
