ADAM family Glasgow?
I have information on Ancestors James Adam b. 1810 approximately.
Married Elizabeth Cross Turnbull (b.21/05/1815,) on 12/10/1838 in Barony.
I believe they had 12 children and 4 of them may have died at birth or shortly thereafter.
They had a son HENRY b. 29/09/1847 and a Daughter MARGARET ALISON b. 20/09/1858.
I subsequently found information on a HENRY Adam (b.13/02/1782) who was married (date?)to a Margaret ALLISON (b.24/09/1783.)
They had 2 sons named JOHN. The first was born in 1798 and the second was born 18/06/1810 in Glasgow.
I am wondering if the John (b.18/06/1810) could possibly have used the name James at his marriage or if there actually could have been another son named James born to HENRY Adam and Margaret ALLISON.
Does anyone have any information?
Thanks.
David - I am researching this family too. James Adam and Elizabeth Cross TURNBULL are my ggg grandparents. My research has James born 1813/1814/1816 and died 7 May 1865. I know/believe he had a brother John and were several other siblings. I have Henry and Margaret born about 10 years prior to your dates. Please contact me if you so choose. Thanks
