This evening, I am posting information on Urquhart family history as sourced from a grave-marker at Ramshorn Church Burial Ground. This records either (a) date burial plot was purchased or (b) date of burial of:
- John Urquhart, Merchant in Glasgow, 1781.

Thank you for your interesting blog. I was wondering if you have come across a John Urquhart who was a hat maker in Glasgow. I have exhausted all resources I can think of to find his death. He appears in the Census in 1840s as living in 114 Trongate Street, St David Glasgow. Lanarkshire but he does not appear in 1851 and his wife is a widow.
I was wondering if you have come across the death of this person.
