Ralston Ancestry, Paisley, Scotland

This afternoon I am reporting on a long-running initiative to find the burial plot and headstone of :

• Ann Cunningham, nee Ralston who died Sept 2nd 1869.
• John Ralston who died Feb 4th 1837 at Townhead age 88 years.

Our efforts were focused on Lair (burial plot) no 39 at Castlehead Church burial ground.

 Prime candidate was a recumbent stone which had to be turned over to provide access to the inscription. Unfortunately, this proved to be Lair no 40 in name of Stewart.

 In close proximity was another recumbent stone which we also turned and proved to be in name of Jameson.
