This evening, I am posting information on Deacon family history as sourced from a memorial at Eastwood New Cemetery. This records the death of:
- A. Deacon, Stoker Petty Officer, RN (Royal Navy), P/K 63047, HMS Maidstone, on March 14th 1941.
Author's note: HMS Maidstone was built on the River Clyde at Glasgow, launched 1938, served throughout WW2, and was finally broken up in 1978.
