This afternoon, I visited the War Memorial at Thornliebank, Glasgow Southside. This lists the huge number of casualties in both World Wars plus the Northern Ireland 'troubles'.
The list below covers only World War One (1914-1918), I will list the WW2 casualties tomorrow.

Thank you so much for posting this. My Great Uncle is Hugh Todd and he is commemorated on this memorial. We only have an old photograph of my grandfather stood in front of the memorial when it was very new, so it was good to see it in detail. Thanks again!

I am researching the names listed on the Eastwood Parish Church memorial stone on which Hugh Todd is also remembered. I would be grateful for any information you may have regarding Hugh. I have a copy of his birth certificate b. 19 April 1899 in Thornliebank F. Hugh Todd, M. Catherine Todd m.s. Hunter, but not much more. Any information would be great to include in our records.
