This evening, I am posting information on Speirs family history, as sourced from a memorial stone at Castlehead Church Burial Ground. This records the deaths of:

• Robert Speirs, June 1840 age 70 years.
• Margaret McCorquodale on Dec 23rd 1845, age 83 years.
• Thomas Orr in January 1842.
• Alexander McCorquodale in Feb 1870 age 10 years.
